The Spencer family from Stourbridge

The whole trip and day was better than 1st and executive class…Alan couldn’t do enough for us.

A wonderful experience all round in Paradise. Nothing was too much trouble…sightseeing, fishing, eating and relaxing. A beautiful and lasting memory from generous hosts.

Highly recommended!

‘Au matin s’éveiller dans un écrin de nature aux couleurs pastel avec le reflet pur des Highlands sur le Loch Etive reste inoubliable. Les enfants ont aussi apprécié la pêche au maqueraux près de Lismore avec l’aide du capitaine Alan qui est très sympa’

‘In the morning, waking up in the natural setting of Loch Etive with the reflection of the Highlands on the water is impossible to forget. The boys also enjoyed fishing mackerel near Lismore. Great time on Orcade for the whole family!’

It was the perfect cruising experience sailing on board such a luxurious, well – appointed vessel with the opportunity to explore whatever loch, beach or island we wanted.

One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to the island of Iona ,a truly magical place with its white sandy beaches and very beautiful ancient abbey. Our day ended with an excellent meal at the Argyll Hotel; highly recommended.

A perfect summer’s day out !

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Orcades which included an overnight mooring at Tobermory on Mull, followed by visits via the Orcade’s rig to the beautiful Island of Iona and then on to Staffa. This must be the best way to enjoy the beautiful West Coast Scotland; all tailored to our own preferred schedule and in absolute comfort with a very knowledgeable local, Alan, at the helm and Polly’s superb freshly-cooked seafood was an absolute delight. Excellent ! Thank you!”

The boat is just fantastic. You can really feel the love and care with which it has been maintained and developed. The trip was fascinating and I learned so much more about Lismore and Oban and the whole area to the South tip of Mull. The wildlife was really exciting with the high point a dolphin lurking round a salmon farm, as well as just masses of seals and a wide range of sea birds, especially little auk, gannets and many divers. Polly and the Cap’n’ were really warm, inviting, and interesting, sharing many experiences. Fab coffee. Fun fishing, even though we were empty handed!

I would recommend the boat and the trip to anyone but especially to groups or teams as there are lots of different spaces to be in up top, in the air, or inside in the warm. The cabins looked really comfortable and surprisingly spacious.
